Parker Lee was named Principal Timpanist of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra in May 2017. Prior to his appointment at the MET, Parker had performed with the National Symphony Orchestra, Malaysian Philharmonic, Chattanooga Symphony, Fort Wayne Philharmonic and West Virginia Symphony.
Parker is currently Adjunct Faculty at Lynn University. A native of Reston, VA, Parker holds a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University and a Professional Studies Diploma from the Cleveland Institute of Music. He completed further studies with Ted Atkatz at Lynn University and with Tom Freer at Cleveland State University.
