Visual Experience Fine Art (VEFA) invites you to Coastal Rhythms! This private concert along the California coast will be truly memorable, as ten elite musicians from around the world are traveling to Los Angeles to present monumental chamber works! We are absolutely thrilled about this live celebration of music, as TAPS 2024 Artist and Composer-in-Residence, Andy Akiho, will be in attendance at this exclusive event. According to the Los Angeles Times, Andy Akiho is a trailblazer, as his works push the boundaries of classical music. This five-time Grammy nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist is known around the world for his innovative works for percussion and piano, and we can’t wait for you to hear his music! 

As the sun sets over the oceanside, all audience members will have the incredible opportunity to witness Andy Akiho play beautiful melodies on the steel pan inspired by music from Trinidad and Tobago. We hope you will share this special evening with us and meet Andy Akiho while you’re here!

All proceeds from Coastal Rhythms go toward student scholarships and will help make TAPS programming free-of-cost for students for seasons to come.
