Fleur is a classically trained pianist, violinist, percussionist and singer/songwriter. A former student of the Godmother of Marimba, Keiko Abe in Tokyo, she has a deep love of story telling that was passed on by her teachers and upbringing. She has her own band, Fleur Green and The Keepers, who have just recorded their first album “When the Tide Rushes In”. Her training as a classical percussionist is evident in her unique arrangements and live performance in which she self accompanies her songs with 4-mallet vibraphone technique, as well as piano accompaniments and colourful percussive additions. She has been recognised internationally for her work in Children’s Theatre, particularly her composition of the adaptation of the Mem Fox book “Where is the Green Sheep” that toured globally. She is passionate about writing songs, children’s theatre, the multi instrumental life, writing children’s books, poetry and is now a published author. Fleur is also a casual percussionist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra. She lives in Adelaide, a city that she loves.
